Canadian Country Classic Set for Expansion
The Canadian Country Classic has also been awarded the right to host the Eastern Canadian Qualifier for the FEI Children's International Jumping Final. Open to riders 12 to 14 years of age, the winner of this competition will join the winner of the Western Canadian Qualifier to compete in the FEI Children's International Jumping Final in
The Canadian Country Classic's first week, August 22nd to 26th, is geared primarily to "Next Generation" riders, but features an open jumper division and grand prix.

This year's tournament will also host a classic car show, and beach volleyball and BMX competitions. A contest for young riders will be introduced, in which a $2,000 bursary will be awarded to a rider who submits a video displaying his or her riding talents. The video will be judged on technique, potential and creativity by a panel of celebrity judges.
With youth being one of the themes of this year's tournament, SickKids Foundation will benefit through various special features.
